Fall Nuno Vest

I decided to use commercial felt as the base of this Nuno vest because it was the perfect color. I wanted the nuno section to be an applique on both sides, making the vest reversible. These pictures show both sides. For fit, there is a leather side that can be loosened or tightened and a gorgeous large glass closure button as well as numerous beading throughout.

These vests are knitted in stripes with a short front and a longer back. I knit them with many yarns but usually use the eyelash yarns for the flair stripes. I like my fringes too but they can be optional.

This vest was my very first runway creation. I still wear my green version that you see on the home page. My daughter is modelling this brown one which showed in Maryland about 25 years ago. I participated a few years ago in a retrospective of that show. Time flies when you are having fun. The vests are handknit from handspun Angora and wool or whatever you like, in 3 sections with a s ide panel of crochet work and of course a feather trim. This one was auctioned off for a Charity event but people still like them for their flair. I have even made them knee length and calf length as well, see separate pricing for these.

This vest is soft, warm and reversible. It is welted knit from a wonderful Italian chenille yarn called "Touch Me". And you should touch it. I added some copper glitter on the copper side which peeks through on the black side and creates a lovely bit of contrast to this warm and drapey vest.
